A combined 582 posts are available — 337 at Kakrapar Atomic Power Station, Gujarat (Trade, Technician & Graduate Apprentice) and 245 at Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site (Trade Apprentice). 💡 Important Note — About Permanent Employment:

This is a 1-year training engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961. It does not guarantee permanent employment with NPCIL. However, the NPCIL training certificate is highly valued — it significantly boosts employability at BARC, NTPC, BHEL and nuclear sector companies. Former NPCIL apprentices are also preferred in NPCIL Stipendiary Trainee and other nuclear sector exams.

NAPS / NATS Registration

Register on Apprenticeship India portal (NAPS) for Trade Apprentices or NATS portal for Technician & Graduate Apprentices. Registration number is mandatory.

Merit List Preparation

No written exam. A merit list is prepared trade-wise based on percentage of marks secured in the ITI / Diploma / Degree qualifying examination.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates are called for verification of original certificates — qualification, category, age proof, Aadhaar etc.

Medical Fitness Check

Candidates must meet minimum physical fitness standards as per NPCIL norms.

Final Engagement

Selected candidates are issued engagement letters for 1-year apprenticeship training at the respective NPCIL site.

There is no written examination and no application fee for NPCIL Apprentice 2026. Selection is 100% merit-based on qualifying exam marks. Preference may be given to local / domicile candidates where applicable as per notification.
