State Bank of India (SBI) ne 7,150 Apprentice posts ke liye recruitment announcement ki hai. Yeh notification 19 May 2026 ko release hua. Applications sbi.co.in par 19 May se 30 June 2026 tak accept kiye jayenge. Dono Degree Apprentice (4,237 posts, Rs. 13,000/month) aur Diploma Apprentice (2,913 posts, Rs. 11,000/month) categories mein vacancies hain.
Two Apprentice Categories — Which One Should You Apply For?
DEGREE APPRENTICE (4,237 posts) — Higher Salary & for Graduates: Yeh category Bachelor's degree holders ke liye hai. Salary Rs. 13,000 per month hoti hai during 1-year apprenticeship. Any stream (Arts, Science, Commerce) se Bachelor's degree accepted hoti hai. B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.Tech., B.E., etc. sabhi qualify karte hain. Freshers eligible hain.
DIPLOMA APPRENTICE (2,913 posts) — Lower Salary & for Diploma/ITI Holders: Yeh category Diploma holders (Engineering aur Non-Engineering) aur ITI-trained candidates ke liye hai. Salary Rs. 11,000 per month. 10th pass candidates bhi eligible hain agar un ke paas 2-3 saal ka apprenticeship experience ho kisi recognized trade mein.
Salary & Stipend — What You'll Earn During Apprenticeship
Degree Apprentice Stipend: Rs. 13,000 per month for 1-year full-time apprenticeship. Diploma Apprentice Stipend: Rs. 11,000 per month for 1-year apprenticeship. Additional benefits may include: subsidized food in canteen, transportation facility, ID card access to SBI facilities. IMPORTANT: Yeh STIPEND hota hai, salary nahi. Apprenticeship ke baad permanent job GUARANTEED nahi hoti. Performance, conduct, aur bank ke requirement pe depend karta hai.
Eligibility Criteria — Who Can Apply
Age Limit (STRICT): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 28 years as on date of application. NO age relaxation for ANY category — government requirement. Qualification for Degree Apprentice: Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university. Stream doesn't matter — B.A., B.Com., B.Tech., B.Sc., all accepted. Qualification for Diploma Apprentice: Diploma from NCVT/SCVT recognized institution (Engineering or Non-Engineering) OR 10th pass with 2-3 years of apprenticeship in relevant trade. Nationality: Indian Citizen OR Nepal/Bhutan subject OR Tibetan refugee (before 1 January 1962). Medical Fitness: Candidates must be in good health. Medical examination conducted after selection.

Selection Process — How Candidates Are Selected
SBI typically conducts a 2-3 stage selection process for apprenticeships: Stage 1 — Online Screening Test (expected subjects: General Knowledge, Banking Awareness, Mathematics, English — expected duration 60-90 minutes). Stage 2 — Personal Interview (technical and aptitude assessment by SBI interview panel — expected 15-20 minutes). Stage 3 — Medical Examination (after provisional selection, candidates must pass medical fitness test). Details regarding exam pattern, cutoff marks, and interview format will be announced by SBI before the examination.
Key Points Before Applying
Single Category Application Only: Each candidate can apply to ONLY ONE category (Degree OR Diploma). Multiple applications = REJECTION. No Editing After Submission: Once application is submitted, details cannot be changed (SBI may provide correction window later, but not guaranteed). Document Accuracy: All documents (name, date of birth, qualification certificate) MUST match exactly. Discrepancies cause rejection.
