The SSC GD selection happens in 5 stages. The CBT score determines your merit. PET, PST, and Medical are qualifying in nature — passing them is mandatory but they do not add to your marks.

The CBT has 80 objective-type questions worth 160 marks, to be completed in 60 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks per wrong answer. There is no sectional time limit — you can attempt questions in any order.

Basic pay scale Rs.21,700 – Rs.69,100 under Pay Level-3 of the 7th Pay Commission. Allowances include Dearness Allowance (Rs.10,850), House Rent Allowance (Rs.6,510), Transport Allowance (Rs.1,224), and Risk Allowance. Also includes free medical facilities, government pension after retirement, and free accommodation in CAPF campus in many postings.
Basic pay scale Rs.21,700 – Rs.69,100, 7th Pay Commission ke anusar Pay Level-3. Allowances mein DA (Rs.10,850), HRA (Rs.6,510), TA (Rs.1,224) aur Risk Allowance shamil hain. Iske alawa free medical, retirement par government pension aur kaafi postings mein CAPF campus mein free accommodation bhi milti hai.

The admit card is released phase-wise, around 4 to 7 days before each phase. Before the admit card, SSC releases a city intimation slip about 8 to 10 days before the exam to confirm the allotted city. Candidates cannot change their exam city or date.

How to download: Visit ssc.gov.in → Click on Admit Card section → Select your region → Enter Registration Number and Date of Birth → Click Submit → Download and print at least 2 copies. Carry it with a valid government-issued photo ID to the exam centre on exam day.
