SSC GD 2026 runs in 4 shifts every exam day. Your exact shift and reporting time are printed on your admit card. Arrive at least 60–90 minutes before your shift to complete biometric verification. Gate closes 30 minutes before exam start — late entry is not permitted under any circumstances.
Carry printed admit card and original photo ID — both mandatory. Biometric fingerprint and photo will be taken at the centre — ensure fingers are clean and free of mehndi or ink. No mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or Bluetooth devices. Read all on-screen instructions carefully before starting. Use only the mouse to mark answers.

Important update: SSC/MHA revised medical guidelines — candidates will no longer be rejected on weight during PST. Weight is now assessed during Medical Examination using BMI. PET and PST are qualifying only — do not add to CBT score. Final merit is based entirely on CBT marks.
After promotion to Head Constable, pay moves to Level-4. Free accommodation in CAPF campus in many postings. Government pension after retirement. Promotion path: Constable → Head Constable → ASI → SI.
Previous year CBT cut off marks (normalised scores out of 160). SSC GD 2026 cut off will be released with result in July 2026. With Easy to Moderate difficulty in 2026, expect cut off to be slightly higher than 2024–25.

Key: Only CBT marks determine your rank. PET, PST, and DME are qualifying — pass all but they do not add to your score. After CBT result, CRPF issues PET/PST admit cards separately at rect.crpf.gov.in. NCC certificate holders get bonus marks added to normalised CBT score.
