The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 Admit Card very shortly at upsc.gov.in. The Prelims exam is scheduled for 24 May 2026 (Sunday) — just 9 days away. Based on past trends (in 2025, admit card released on 14 May for exam on 25 May), the 2026 admit card is expected on 14–15 May 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: GS Paper 1 at 9:30 AM–11:30 AM and CSAT Paper 2 at 2:30 PM–4:30 PM. A total of 933 vacancies are available for IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and other Group A/B Central Services.

Go to upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in.
Only official UPSC portals — do not use third-party links claiming to show admit card.

Go to Admit Cards Section
Click on "Admit Cards" section on homepage, or look in "What's New" section.
Once released, link will be: "e-Admit Card: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026".

Choose Login Method
Select either (i) Registration ID or (ii) Roll Number as your login option.
Registration ID was generated when you registered on the UPSC OTR portal during application.

Enter Credentials
Enter your Registration ID or Roll Number + Date of Birth + Security Captcha code. Click Submit.
If you forgot your Registration ID, use the "Forgot RID" option on the portal — retrieve via registered email + DOB.

Your admit card PDF will appear. Download it and take a clear A4-size printout.

📌 Important Exam Day Instructions

✔ Reach exam centre at least 60 minutes before reporting time mentioned on admit card.
✔ Use only black ballpoint pen to mark OMR sheet. Do not use pencil or ink pen.
✔ For blank/unattempted questions — no negative marking.
✔ If you mark multiple answers for one question — it counts as wrong (negative marks apply).
✔ UPSC face verification may be used at some centres — be prepared.
✔ Admit card must be kept safe throughout entire UPSC cycle (Prelims → Mains → Interview).
