The JRF Advantage (Stipend & Career)
Clearing NET with JRF is highly rewarding — JRF scholars receive a monthly fellowship of around ₹37,000 (+ HRA), rising to about ₹42,000 as Senior Research Fellow. NET-qualified Assistant Professors join at 7th CPC Academic Level 10 (basic around ₹57,700), building toward Associate Professor and Professor roles.
Validity
- JRF award is valid for a fixed period (currently 2 years) to join a research programme.
- Assistant Professor eligibility from NET is valid for a lifetime.
