Subject-wise cancellation on exam day
On 26 April 2026 JPSC issued a press release recording that question papers were not available in sufficient quantity and were not legible at two centres:

JPSC therefore cancelled the examination for those two subjects only, and stated that a separate notice would follow. All other subjects were unaffected.
Re-examination for the two subjects
By its notice dated 25 May 2026, JPSC scheduled the Education (Code-009) and Oriya (Code-023) papers for 14 June 2026, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Ranchi district headquarters. Admit cards and attendance sheets were made available from 10 June 2026 through the OTR link on the JPSC website.

Reports of a Wider Cancellation — Not Officially Confirmed
Media reports dated 18–19 August 2026 list “Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2024 (Advt. No. 08/2025)” among examinations cancelled by the Jharkhand Government as part of a wider action on examination irregularities.
We could not verify this against an official order. On 4 September 2026 we checked the JPSC website (including the dedicated JET 2024 notice page, which carries 28 documents, the newest dated 25 May 2026) and the Jharkhand Government website, and found no cancellation notification for Advertisement No. 08/2025. The reports we located do not cite an official order number either.
For that reason this page does not state that JET 2024 has been cancelled. Candidates should treat the reports as unconfirmed until JPSC or the Jharkhand Government publishes the order.
Why Two JET Subjects Were Cancelled and Re-Held
There was a genuine, officially documented cancellation — but a narrow one. On exam day, 26 April 2026, JPSC recorded that question papers were not available in sufficient quantity and were not legible at two centres: one in Bokaro for Education (Code-009), and one in Ranchi for Oriya (Code-023).
JPSC cancelled the examination for those two subjects only. By its notice of 25 May 2026, both papers were re-held on 14 June 2026 at Ranchi district headquarters, with admit cards available from 10 June 2026. Both notices are available in the Downloads section of this page.
