What to Bring for Document Verification

• Call letter / admit card (without it you will not be allowed inside).
• Original documents plus one set of photocopies: proof of date of birth; qualification marksheet and certificate (Class 10 for Group A; ITI for Group B); caste/non-creamy-layer/SEBC/EWS certificate if applicable; disability certificate (Divyang); parent’s service certificate (Armed Forces children); proof of online application fee (GEN/OBC/SEBC/EWS/AFC).
• ID proof and 5 colour passport-size photographs.
• Medical fitness certificate in MDL’s prescribed format from a Government/Municipal hospital or primary health centre in your locality.

NAPS Registration Is Mandatory

Career Growth & Work Profile

Apprentices train at MDL’s Apprentice Training School and shipyard in their allotted trade: fitting, pipe fitting, structural fabrication, electrical work, welding, drafting, ICT maintenance or computer operation. Training is 2 years for Group A, 1 year for Group B, and 2 years (Rigger) or 1 year 3 months (Welder) for Group C, with a monthly stipend and leave as per the Apprentices Act. Minimum attendance is needed to qualify for the All India Trade Test. Selection does not guarantee a permanent job.
