Assistant Teacher, Primary (Urban) – Basic Education Department

A graduate degree from a university established by law in India (or an equivalent degree recognised by the government), with a recognised training qualification: Basic Teacher Certificate (BTC), 2-year BTC (Urdu), Special BTC, a 2-year special-education diploma approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India, a 4-year B.El.Ed, or a 2-year diploma in elementary education (any name) as per the NCTE Regulations, 2002; and a pass in a Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the State Government or the Government of India. BTC is now run as D.El.Ed.

Assistant Teacher, affiliated Primary – non-government aided schools (Secondary Education Department)

  1. A graduate degree from a university or deemed university recognised by law/the government; and
  2. BTC or D.El.Ed in an NCTE-recognised course; and
  3. A pass in a Teacher Eligibility Test for Classes 1–5 conducted by the UP Government or the Government of India.

All qualifications must be held by the last date of application.
