Current Status at a Glance

  • Latest official event: 07.10.2026 – additional CBE result to shortlist candidates for PET/PST for the post of Havaldar (File No. E/15/2025-C-2).
  • What the notice says: the results of 727 candidates were not processed in the first Havaldar result of 03.08.2026 because of suspected malpractice. Implementing the partial relief granted by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench (CAT-PB), SSC processed these 727 results. Of them, 542 candidates have been shortlisted for the Havaldar PET/PST, but the candidature of all 542 has been kept withheld on account of suspicious activities/malpractices. The results of 15 more of the 727 candidates have been kept in a sealed cover because of a pending police investigation.
  • Earlier stage: SSC’s first Havaldar PET/PST shortlist was declared on 03.08.2026 (8,071 candidates, including 2 withheld). CBIC held that PET/PST from 24.08.2026 to 31.08.2026.
  • Next stage: a PET/PST schedule for the additional candidates is not given in the 07.10.2026 notice. SSC says the other terms of the 03.08.2026 write-up remain unchanged. The First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for both MTS and Havaldar is to be declared together after PET/PST.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Treating the 07.10.2026 notice as the MTS final result. It is only an additional Havaldar PET/PST shortlist.
  • Assuming every one of the 542 candidates can appear without conditions. SSC has kept their candidature withheld.
  • Mixing up the 2025 examination with the SSC MTS & Havaldar 2026 cycle.
  • Relying on unofficial PET/PST dates. Only SSC and CBIC/CBN notices count.
