JSSC Para Teacher 2026 Overview
JTAACCE-2026 fills Assistant Acharya posts in Jharkhand government schools from the para-teacher cadre. There are two levels: Intermediate Trained Assistant Acharya for Classes 1โ5, and Graduate Trained Assistant Acharya for Classes 6โ8 in three streams (Language, Social Science, and Maths & Science). Selection is through a single main examination of objective questions with no negative marking, followed by document verification. A candidate can apply for more than one post if eligible.
Salary
| Post | Pay (as per brochure) |
|---|---|
| Intermediate Trained Assistant Acharya (Class 1โ5) | Level 4: Rs. 25,500 โ 81,100 |
| Graduate Trained Assistant Acharya (Class 6โ8), all three streams | Level 5: Rs. 29,200 โ 92,300 |
Career Growth & Work Profile
For a working para teacher, this recruitment is the route to a regular Assistant Acharya post on a pay level. A Class 1โ5 Assistant Acharya teaches all the basic subjects to young children in primary schools. A Class 6โ8 Assistant Acharya is appointed for one stream (a language, social science, or maths and science) and teaches it in upper-primary classes. Appointment is only in the subject or subject group in which the candidate passed the teacher eligibility test. The brochure does not describe promotion timelines, so none are stated here.
Historical Cut-Off / Previous-Cycle Context
JSSC has not published a cut-off for JTAACCE-2026. The brochure fixes only the minimum qualifying marks for the merit list: 40% for Unreserved/EWS, 36.5% for BC-II, 34% for EBC-I, 32% for SC/ST and women, and 30% for Primitive Tribal Groups. Merit is prepared at state level, post-wise and category-wise, so the marks needed for a seat will depend on the number of posts and candidates in each category.
Post-Specific Selection Nuances
- Only serving para teachers: all posts are reserved for para teachers with at least 2 years of continuous service under the Jharkhand Education Project Council, who were working on the advertisement date. An experience certificate and a clean-conduct certificate in the prescribed format are needed (Class 1โ5: Block Education Extension Officer; Class 6โ8: Area Education Officer).
- Paper 1 is a qualifying hurdle: at least 30% is compulsory in the mother-tongue paper. Other papers are checked only if you clear it, and its marks are not added to merit.
- Class 6โ8 subject paper: at least 33% is compulsory in Paper 4 (the optional subject) before the merit list is prepared.
- No negative marking for wrong answers.
- TET rule: JTET is required. Jharkhand residents who passed CTET or a neighbouring state’s TET may apply, but must pass JTET within 3 years of appointment, at the first available opportunity.
- Subject is tied to your TET: you are eligible only in the subject or subject group in which you passed the teacher eligibility test. A TET passed in a reserved category counts only against reserved vacancies.
- Tie-break: the older candidate ranks higher.
- Certificates must be in the prescribed formats and issued on or before the last date of application, including the local residence certificate for anyone claiming reservation.
