ISRO IPRC Recruitment 2026: Application and Fee Status

Only Indian nationals may apply. Qualifications must be from a recognized State Board or University. IPRC requires the exact advertised qualification and does not accept unspecified equivalent courses.

Technical Assistant (codes 60–62)

First-class diploma. Code 60: Automobile Engineering. Code 61: Mechanical OR Production Engineering. Code 62: Electronics OR Electronics & Communication OR Electronics & Telecommunication OR Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.

Technician B (codes 63–68)

Pass in SSLC/SSC/Matric/10th AND ITI in the specific advertised trade with NTC from NCVT, OR NAC from NCVT. An ITI in a different trade does not qualify.

Cook A (code 70)

10th/SSLC/SSC/Matric plus five years’ experience as Cook in a well-established hotel or canteen. The experience certificate must be issued by the establishment and shown at the skill test; certificates from individuals are not accepted.

Fireman A (code 71)

10th/SSLC/SSC/Matric, the prescribed physical fitness standards, and the Preliminary Medical Examination certificate in Annexure A uploaded with the application. The certificate must be issued by a Government Medical Officer (Allopathy) not below Assistant Civil Surgeon rank in Government Health Services. It is valid for six months and must also be produced at the skill test.

Age (as on 5 October 2026)

18–35 years for codes 60–68 and 70; 18–25 years for Fireman code 71. SC/ST relaxation is five years and OBC three years where the post is reserved for that category. Serving government employees, ex-servicemen, PwBD, widows, divorced or judicially separated women who have not remarried, and meritorious sportspersons get upper age relaxation as per Government of India orders.

Horizontal reservation is included within the 22 posts: one Ex-SM post within Fitter, one PwBD (Ortho) post within Machinist and one Ex-SM post within Fireman. These are not additional posts. The post codes skip 69.

All applicants pay upfront. The refund is given only to applicants who attend the written test. Transaction or user charges are borne by the candidate. Enter correct bank details and upload the front page of the bank passbook for the refund.

Pay through the official SBI e-Payment gateway using internet banking, domestic credit/debit card or UPI. Confirm a successful payment through the Receipt link and save the receipt. Cash, cheque, draft, money order and IPO are not accepted. A separate application and fee is needed for each post. Fee payment for submitted applications: until 29 October 2026, 5 PM.

Technical Assistant, Technician B and Cook A: written examination followed by a qualifying skill test. Fireman A: written examination, qualifying physical efficiency test (PET) and detailed medical examination. Final selection is based on written-test marks among candidates who clear their qualifying stages. Academic scores in the notified qualification break ties in written scores.

EWS follows the unreserved selection standard.

Fireman physical standards

The official standards also include BMI 18–28, waist-to-hip ratio of at most 1, minimum chest expansion of 5 cm where applicable, unaided 6/6 distant vision in each eye, and the detailed medical criteria in Annexure A. Read Annexure A for the complete standards.

Fireman PET

Candidates must qualify in every event. Long jump allows three attempts (best counts); other events allow one attempt. Spiked shoes are not allowed. The above-40 rows apply only where valid age concessions make the applicant eligible. Selected Firemen must stay in IPRC Essential Staff Quarters.

Fee payment for submitted applications (until 29 October 2026, 5 PM): open the official IPRC service, follow its payment instructions, confirm a successful payment through the Receipt link and save the application form and receipt. The payment extension is not permission to submit a new application.

Closed application process (24 October 2026, 5 PM)

The steps below describe how applications were made and are kept for reference by existing applicants.

1. Candidates opened the IPRC careers page, followed its online application link and selected the exact post code after reading the advertisement and the deadline-extension notice.
2. A correct, active email address was entered and the written-test city was chosen (it cannot be changed later).
3. A clear photograph, signature and the applicable certificates were uploaded.
4. The form was submitted by 24 October 2026, 5 PM. Submitted applications cannot be edited.
5. No printout is to be posted to IPRC.

Documents for later stages

10th certificate/marksheet, 12th if applicable, diploma or ITI records for the relevant posts, identity proof, applicable category, disability or Ex-SM certificates and the bank-passbook front page. Cook applicants need experience records; Fireman applicants need the Annexure A PME certificate. Produce the originals at the skill test or when asked. Eligible serving employees must follow the employer-permission and NOC conditions.
