CSBC published the written examination result on 18 August 2026 and shortlisted candidates for the Physical Standard Test. The Board subsequently scheduled PST and document verification for 12 September 2026 and released the PST admit card.

Unable to Download the PST Admit Card?

CSBC has stated that candidates who are unable to download their e-admit card may obtain a duplicate admit card from the Central Selection Board of Constable office at Back Harding Road, near Sachivalaya Halt, Patna-800001 on 10 September 2026 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, at their own expense.

CSBC will not send the admit card by post.

No candidate will be permitted to enter the PST venue without the admit card.

CSBC Special Branch Written Result — What the Numbers Show

CSBC received 2,33,479 registered online applications for Advertisement No. 01/2026. After cancelled, incomplete and rejected applications were excluded, the Board recorded 2,24,429 valid applications.

If two or more candidates have equal written-examination marks when the final merit list is prepared, CSBC has specified a sequence for deciding their relative position.

• First preference is given to the older candidate based on date of birth.
• If the marks and date of birth are both the same, preference is given to the candidate with the higher educational qualification.
• If marks, date of birth and educational qualification are all the same, relative position is determined according to the Hindi alphabetical order of the candidate’s name as recorded in the Class 10 Board certificate.
